Our Unique Approach

The general contractor for your financial world

Most of our clients don’t even realize the burden they’re carrying until we help them lift it. When you work with multiple professionals to support your financial world, you often end up acting as the “general contractor” who has to coordinate everything—whether you really want to or not. And while you’re highly skilled at your profession, overseeing your financial plan isn’t your area of expertise. That’s why our goal is to help you let go of this responsibility—we take over as the general contractor so you can go back to being the client and enjoy watching the progress.

You can think about the design process like meeting with an architect to design your dream home. We’ll learn more about you, then we’ll ask you about your goals, your vision for the future, and any current resources you already have. During this phase, we’ll work to identify any gaps in your financial plan and identify customized solutions that help you get where you want to go. We make it a point to review every aspect of your financial plan and develop a strategy to bring all of the pieces together in a way that supports your overall goals. Once we’re done, you’ll have a financial “blueprint” that gives you clarity and actionable objectives to help you reach those goals.

Once we’ve created your financial blueprint, you get to decide if you want us to help you implement the plan. We consider Erkel & Erkel a “design and build firm,” meaning that once we establish a comprehensive plan, we also have all of the resources and tools available to help you implement those recommended strategies. In this phase, we’ll coordinate with the subcontractors (your other trusted professionals) to ensure everyone remains focused on one thing—your goals.

Unlike building your dream home, your financial plan is never 100% complete. Your life will change as you grow, and we’ll be here to help you adjust your financial strategies accordingly. As we manage your plan, we’ll closely monitor your progress and ensure that you remain on track for your goals. Many of our clients meet with us at least annually, but we want to do what’s best for you—whether you need to meet once a year, twice a year; during your business’s “off” season, or right before tax season. Whatever your availability and however you grow, we’re here to provide confidence that someone is always looking out for you.
